Core Base Level 1: Beginner Nail Training
This class is designed for beginners eager to start their careers in the nail art industry. It provides essential techniques and foundational knowledge to set you on the right path. After years as a technician, educator, master educator, and international head judge, I created this course to help you avoid common pitfalls and develop strong habits.
Program Overview
The class is intensive, spanding three days with 9+ hours each day.
Our focus is on hands-on training, and we will not leave the classroom until each student meets the required skill level.
Prepare for three full days of immersive learning without distractions.
Day 1
Nail Anatomy and Russian Manicure
Nail Anatomy: Understanding issues, damages, diseases, and injuries.
Sanitation: Proper tool use and maintenance.
Ergonomics: Desk preparation, client handling, and avoiding injuries.
Client Interaction: Handling behavior and potential conflicts.
After lunch, we'll dive into the Russian manicure technique, including e-file work and bit selection.
You'll learn to apply rubber polish and explore the benefits of modern rubber products.
We’ll practice application on one hand, ensuring perfection before moving on to Studio Art Level 1, covering foil application and color selection.
Day 2
Nail Systems and Form Application
We'll start by examining various nail systems, including gel, acrylic, polygel, and gel polish, ensuring you can explain these to future clients.
Forms: Learn the science behind forms, with hands-on practice applying them to your own nails.
Nail Shapes: Build square and oval nails, focusing on creating a "color pocket" and mastering significant nail features like apex, smile line, and c-curve.
Refills: Practice with coffin and faded French styles, finishing with another Studio Art session.
Day 3
Practical Application and Model Work
For the final day, please bring a model.
We will review Day 1 techniques and perform the Russian manicure on various nail types.
You’ll choose from the shapes covered and practice applying forms while creating perfect nails with embellishments.
Each day includes different studio art projects, culminating in a photo session where I'll share tips for capturing your work perfectly.
Included Kit and Certification
Your kit includes:
UV lamp, essential brushes (gel, detail, art)
Smart set (scissors and pusher)
E-file bits, cover gel, building white, two color polishes
Art materials, sand dust for design, transfer foils
Three files and three buffers, forms
Upon completion, you'll receive a certificate.
Six months after the class, there will be a test meeting where I will mentor you while you perform a set or fill on a client.
You’ll also receive one year of support, after which you may apply for the "Salon Perfection Class" to further enhance your skills.
